Vitacress staff lend a hand at Chestnut Tree House
Leading salad and herb producer Vitacress, has teamed up with local children’s charity Chestnut Tree House. The charity provides hospice care services and community support for children and young people with progressive life shortening conditions throughout East and West Sussex and South East Hampshire.
Staff from Vitacress’ finance and IT team spent four days volunteering for Chestnut Tree House, the last of which was on Thursday 30th June. The team have helped the charity maintain the grounds and house at the hospice itself and sort through donations of items to sell in the hospice’s charity shops.
Tony Reid from Vitacress said: “The staff and volunteers at Chestnut Tree House work hard doing an extremely important job and we are delighted that we were able to support them. It’s really important to us to be involved in our local community and this is a fantastic cause.”
