Company Background
In 1951, with 1 acre of watercress
beds, Malcolm Isaac laid the foundations of what is today one of
the country's leading growers, packers and distributors of high
quality salads.... Vitacress Salads Ltd.
In the early 1980s, Vitacress Agricultura
Intensiva Limitada (VAIL) was formed in Portugal, to secure winter
supplies of watercress.
By the late 1980s, Iberian Salads Agricultura
Limitada was established, a wholly owned subsidiary and a key year
round supplier of the company’s baby leaf salad crops.
In the summer of 2008, Vitacress was acquired
by RAR Group, a
private Portuguese company.
